This report from the Kaiser Family Foundation assesses how countries are responding to a GHI principle to address women, girls and gender equality. The report examines country strategies for seven of the eight "GHI Plus" nations: Bangladesh, Ethiopia, Guatemala, Kenya, Mali, Malawi, and Nepal. (The eighth, Rwanda, has not yet completed its strategy.) Each country strategy was developed by interagency U.S. government teams in consultation with host country representatives. All seven strategies addressed the health of women and girls as a top priority, and several went further, including efforts to include women and girls as decision-makers and planners in health care programs (6/29).
