RaySearch Laboratories AB (STO:RAYB) has received an order for its RayStation® treatment planning system from Baptist Hospital of Miami.

Baptist Hospital of Miami is a part of Baptist Health South Florida which is the largest faith-based, not-for-profit health care organization in the region, with an outstanding reputation for medical and service excellence.

The hospital will primarily use RayStation® as its treatment planning system for advanced treatments, such as IMRT. The order includes multi-criteria optimization which is an advanced product enabling a more efficient treatment planning process. This highly intuitive tool lets the clinician evaluate the impact of changing different treatment priorities in real-time, which has a large potential to speed up the time-consuming treatment planning optimization process.

"Having Baptist hospital as our first customer in Florida is a great step as we begin to broaden our geographical coverage. We look forward to working with such a skilled department to implement RayStation® and help them in their quest to provide the highest standard of cancer care," says Marc Mlyn, President of RaySearch Americas.

Johan Löf, CEO of RaySearch Laboratories AB adds: "This order is a sign of the growing interest for RayStation® we see in the US right now. Last week the first patient was treated with RayStation® in Boston and now we received our first order from the Southeast region of the US. We will continue to work hard to keep expanding in the US as well as on other markets."
