Beauty Encounter (www.beautyencounter.com), a premier online source for all things fragrance and beauty and specializing in hard-to-find niche products, sponsored the American Cancer Society's annual Making Strides Against Breast Cancer walk in the local Orange County event that took place on October 9, 2011 at the Segerstrom Center in Costa Mesa.

In recognition of October being National Breast Cancer Awareness Month, Beauty Encounter will be donating to the American Cancer Society's premier event to raise funds and awareness for breast cancer. There are more than 200 Making Strides walks nationwide each year to celebrate people who have battled breast cancer, educate people about ways to reduce their risk and empower communities to join the fight. The money raised through the Making Strides walks helps the American Cancer Society create a world with less breast cancer and more birthdays.

"We are thrilled to be able to contribute to such a wonderful cause," says Jacquelyn Tran, President and CEO. "Breast cancer affects countless lives and we are pleased to be able to join the millions of others who are fighting for a cure. We recognize all the great work that the American Cancer Society has done and are extremely honored to be able to help."
