MindFrame establishes ischemic stroke Registry

NewsGuard 100/100 Score

MindFrame Inc. today announces the establishment of an ischemic stroke Registry that will collect real-world clinical and procedural data through a secure web-based portal accessible only to registered clinician members. The goal is to support clinicians in advancing knowledge around the use of mechanical thrombectomy technologies for the treatment of patients suffering from ischemic stroke. The Registry builds upon the initial PRIISM clinical trial and the successes reported with the MindFrame Capture™ LP device.

“We believe this Registry will allow us to continue to rapidly respond to clinicians' needs based on clinical data collected responsibly and accurately.”

"I am excited by the outstanding clinical results that I have been able to attain with the MindFrame Capture LP device, which has allowed me to rapidly restore blood flow and preserve brain function," says Professor Tommy Andersson, MD, PhD, Karolinska Hospital, Sweden. "The collection of this clinical data within a Registry will be important in fostering rapid technological innovation that will ultimately benefit our ischemic stroke patients."

The MindFrame Capture LP is the first and only device specifically designed to be compatible with any microcatheter, 10/14 or greater. The low-profile design offers improved access to distal areas and through tortuous anatomies, as well as increased aspiration, both locally and proximally. Expressly engineered to treat patients suffering from ischemic stroke through microcatheter-based flow restoration and clot extraction, MindFrame Capture LP allows neurointerventionalists to achieve successful procedural and clinical outcomes for patients.

"The establishment of the Registry underscores our strong belief in the value of capturing real-world clinical outcomes in technology development," says Ken Charhut, president and CEO of MindFrame. "We believe this Registry will allow us to continue to rapidly respond to clinicians' needs based on clinical data collected responsibly and accurately."
