Loyola University Medical Center has been named one of the nation's top hospitals in cancer research, prevention, treatment and education by Becker's Hospital Review.

The publication named Loyola to its list of 70 Hospitals and Health Systems with Great Oncology Programs. The Becker's Hospital Review editorial team analyzed data from prominent sources including U.S. News & World Report, HealthGrades, Thomson Reuters, the National Cancer Institute, the American College of Surgeons and the American Nurses Credentialing Center.

Becker's said that Loyola and other hospitals on its list "are on the cutting edge of cancer treatment, prevention and research."
