LivHOME, Inc., one of the nation's largest providers of professionally
led at-home care for seniors, today announced the launch of
LivIndependa, a tablet-computer based remote care service for older
adults.
The new service brings together LivHOME's professionally led approach to
care management with the latest tablet-computer based technology,
developed by Independa, Inc. It is designed for older adults who require
some level of support maintaining health, safety and quality of life in
their own homes but do not yet require at-home caregiving. The service
effectively extends LivHOME's ability to provide care to a new
generation of seniors.
"We've designed LivIndependa for seniors who could benefit from some
level of home monitoring but do not yet need a caregiver in their homes.
The new service remotely delivers our Care Managers' expertise and
oversight via Independa's easy-to-use, tablet-computer based system.
Quite simply, LivIndependa extends LivHOME care to a whole new
generation of seniors," said Mike Nicholson, LivHOME's Chief Executive
Officer.
Developed in a new partnership with Independa, LivIndependa connects
seniors with LivHOME professional Care Managers using Independa's suite
of integrated CloudCare solutions. The LivIndependa service is delivered
through a one-touch, easy-to-use, tablet-based touchscreen interface.

When a client signs up for the LivIndependa service, a LivHOME Care
Manager works with all involved to customize the system to suit the
individual client's needs. LivHOME Care Managers then provide ongoing
support, both in the home and remotely through the Caregiver Web App.
For example, if the senior misses an appointment or a scheduled
medication, a Care Manager will follow up. LivHOME monitors the system
24 hours a day, 7 days a week.
"The home care industry is booming - and like all growth industries,
needs to be supported with enabling technologies that connect care
providers, care recipients and families with vital information.
LivIndependa is at the forefront of this important trend," observes
Laurie Orlov, Principal Analyst and Founder of Aging in Place Technology
Watch.
