MCN Learning, an internationally-recognized leader in healthcare education, announces the launch of the MCN Learning Pain Scale application for the Google Android mobile operating system. This application is MCN Learning's first application for Android mobile devices. An iPhone and iPad version of the MCN Learning Pain Scale app was released earlier this year.

The MCN Learning Pain Scale app was developed to assist individuals working with children who are in pain. This tool will allow nurses, physicians, EMTs/first responders, police officers and others to communicate effectively with children who may be in distress and quickly determine the location and severity of pain. The Pain Scale tool is particularly effective with nonverbal children, and children who struggle to communicate.

"At MCN Learning, we believe affordable technology can enhance healthcare services for under-served populations," said Frank Morello, Vice President of Business Development. "With this new mobile application, professionals in healthcare, education, law enforcement and other settings can use a game-like interface to quickly and accurately communicate with children. We've designed the Pain Scale application to be easy to use by any individual working with children who struggle to communicate their pain, and intuitive for children who may be in distress."
