USAID provides a child survival update in this special issue of its newsletter, "Global Health News." The newsletter includes an update on child survival and development in India; information on the Grand Challenge's "third call for innovative prevention and treatment approaches to dramatically reduce maternal and newborn deaths and stillbirths"; and an update on the "African Leadership for Child Survival -- A Promise Renewed" meeting that took place in Ethiopia this month (January 2013).
