Cedars-Sinai, the largest academic medical center in California, and Lifescript.com, a leading women's health and wellness website, announced today they are co-producing a Web video series focused on women's health, medical news and innovations.

The Lifescript/Cedars-Sinai Women's Health Report features Cedars-Sinai physicians discussing leading-edge treatments on a wide range of health issues, from heart disease therapies and cancer survivorship to nutrition tips and pregnancy management.

Webisodes of the Lifescript/Cedars-Sinai Women's Health Report will appear on Lifescript.com and the Lifescript YouTube channel. Topics range from symptoms of heart disease in women and advances in ovarian cancer to new treatments for infertility.

"This exciting new series evolved out of Cedars-Sinai's commitment to clinical excellence, world-class research, education and community outreach," said Sarah J. Kilpatrick, MD, PhD, chair of Cedars-Sinai's Department of Obstetrics and Gynecology, and the Helping Hand of Los Angeles Chair in Obstetrics and Gynecology. "We recognized Lifescript.com as a like-minded partner in achieving our mission to help patients make informed healthcare decisions and lifestyle choices."

"Lifescript is one of the first places many women turn for online health information and expert advice," said Ronald Caporale, chief executive officer of Lifescript.com. "We are pleased to offer this important new video series, in partnership with world-renowned Cedars-Sinai, which empowers women to take charge of their health."

Since 2011, Cedars-Sinai and Lifescript.com have collaborated on occasional articles and videos about women's health. The new Lifescript.com/Cedars-Sinai Women's Health Report broadens that relationship to provide regularly posted videos with expert advice for women living with chronic health conditions, such as heart disease, osteoarthritis and diabetes.

Lifescript.com, a leading destination for women's health news and information, launched in 2005. The website attracts more than 9 million monthly unique visitors and 16.5 million total monthly visits, according to comScore Media Metrix. More than 7 million readers also subscribe to Lifescript.com's six daily email newsletters. Lifescript.com currently has more than 1 million Facebook fans.
