OneDX provides patients and physicians alike with unfettered access to medical images

NewsGuard 100/100 Score

OneDX®, the mobile medical imaging management solution from The New Medical Product Server is providing patients and physicians alike with unfettered access to medical images, allowing images from Picture Archiving and Communication Systems (PACS) and Vendor Neutral Archive (VNA) platforms to be viewed and shared from a computer or any mobile device in a snap.

As patients assume more control over health care decisions, OneDX provides unprecedented capability to share and review medical images with one or more health care providers securely from their computer, iPhone or Android device. For physicians, OneDX is a gateway that integrates with key-in-lock fit to multiple imaging storage systems, facilitates immediate communication with consulting health care practitioners and provides assurance that only permitted parties can retrieve images.

OneDX is gaining traction in the race to actualize a "Universal Health Exchange" (UHE) that places patient images and Electronic Health Records (EHR) at the fingertips of physicians and patients, allowing them to decide a course for medical care that avoids delays or mistakes associated with paper records and image films. The mhealth market is wooing heavy hitters such as Apple, which recently touted its Health Kit app, but few are connecting the dots between health care providers and patients, and medical images and privacy requirements, as robustly as OneDX.

In addition to its smooth integration across disparate PACS and VNA platforms, OneDX can transport large image studies swiftly, search multiple archives simultaneously, facilitate videoconferencing for any number of participants and upload or download diagnostic quality images. The cloud-enhanced software adapts to any web browser, reducing setup and infrastructure costs, and its data security features adhere to Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act (HIPAA) standards. Fully customizable, the OneDX solution integrates with EHR (Electronic Health Records) and other essential interfaces in less than 24 hours.

Zwanger-Pesiri, one of the largest radiology practices in Long Island, NY, recently adopted OneDX to streamline search and retrieval of PACS images housed on multiple vendor products and utilized by 37,000 referring physicians. The practice selected OneDX over competitor products because of its unique ability to deliver large imaging datasets and reports, and to facilitate image sharing on any web or mobile platform instantly.

Trumbull, Conn.-based Advanced Radiology Consultants (ARC) is one of the first radiology practices to experience the OneDx advantage in full bloom. ARC reports that thousands of patients log in to the Patient Portal to view images delivered via the OneDX Zero Footprint Viewer. ARC credits the integrated platform with producing an estimated $400,000 annually in savings.
