The Joseph Assignment Global Initiative, in cooperation with New Faith Baptist Church International will send lifesaving medical items to its teams in Liberia and Sierra Leone to assist doctors on the front line fighting to contain Ebola in West Africa. The Joseph Assignment Global Initiative and New Faith Baptist Church International will serve as catalysts to spur faith-based support in the United States to assist in containing Ebola. The faith-based initiative spearheaded by The Joseph Assignment is named "Contain and Cure Ebola" as the intent of the effort is to serve as the "missing link" between faith–based organizations, the private sector corporate responsibility programs and West African medical initiatives.
"We are able to get the supplies directly to both the major medical clinics and rural clinics in Liberia and Sierra Leone," said Rev. Dr. Alexis Felder, Founder, CEO and Lead Volunteer of The Joseph Assignment Global Initiative. "We are thankful we do not have to deal with unnecessary red tape and overhead to achieve our work, as we commit to 100% of all public donations impacting the lives of those in need."
The Joseph Assignment Global Initiative will send medical supplies every week to their teams in the affected respective countries until Ebola is contained. The second shipment will depart on Sunday, November 9th to Liberia. The Joseph Assignment and its partners will focus on providing complementary support to ongoing efforts by local governments, the World Health Organization and the United Nations.
