Avacor teams up with HopeCuts and Team Continuum to provide help for cancer patients

Avacor(R )Products LLC (http://www.avacor.com), a leading product line in the hair re-growth industry, has recently teamed up with two charitable organizations, HopeCuts, a division of City of Hope (http://www.cityofhope.org), and Team Continuum (http://www.teamcontinuum.net). Avacor((R)) is teaming up with both charities in an effort to help those fighting cancer as well as to help find new ways to fight this prolific disease.

From August 1, 2009 through November 1, 2009, Avacor((R)) will donate a percentage of total sales to Team Continuum. Team Continuum aims to provide immediate and vital, non-medical assistance to cancer patients and their families where the diagnosis results in disruption, hardship and uncertainty in their everyday lives. They also provide funding to health care facilities and foundations to enhance the delivery of care, communication and educational services for cancer patients.

Over the next few months Avacor((R)) will be running special limited time offerings on their full suite of hair products including their FDA approved hair re-growth formula. An additional 5% of sales generated from these promotions will be donated to Team Continuum, on top of the percentage of total sales.

In line with their continued effort to give back to the community, Avacor((R)) will be making donations to City of Hope as well. City of Hope is an organization that fights to conquer cancer, diabetes, HIV/AIDS, and other life-threatening diseases. The City of Hope Hospital is a leader in research, in providing emerging therapies to patients in need, and in teaching students so that they can continue to make breakthroughs in the medical profession. Avacor((R)) will be joining forces with City of Hope by participating in an event called HopeCuts. HopeCuts is a fundraising program run by City of Hope in which salons across the Northeast and Southeast United States will donate their talents and products to raise money for City of Hope. Avacor((R)) is donating approximately 600 hair care products to the program, including Avacor's Thickening Shampoo, Volumizing Conditioner, and Boost! Hair Thickener.
