Dr. Douglas M. Dr. Weissman holds professional affiliation in both the American College of Physicians where he is a fellow in the American College of Gastroenterology where he has been a longstanding member. Dr. Weissman holds dual certification and re-certifications in both the American Board of Internal Medicine as well as the American Board of Gastroenterology. Dr. Weissman is an accomplished author with multiple articles in various journals of Gastroenterology including gastrointestinal endoscopy and the American Journal of Gastroenterology. Dr. Weissman earned his MD degree at the prestigious Howard University College of Medicine in Washington, DC under the auspices of Dr. Lasalle Leffal, past president of the American Cancer Society. Dr. Weissman completed his internship and residency at Morris Town Memorial Hospital in internal medicine part of the Columbia University's Physicians and Surgeons program. In addition, he completed his gastrointestinal fellowship at Mount Sinai Medical Center in New York City. He received his Bachelor of Science degree from City College, Center for Biomedical Education, a six or seven year program for obtaining a bachelor science and medical degree.
