TissueFab® bioink (Gel)ma - Vis/405 nm is a gelatin methacryloyl (GelMA)-based bioink designed for 3D bioprinting. The photoinitiator LAP facilitates the printed structure's blue light photocrosslinking. The formulation has been adjusted for cell viability and printing fidelity. This product has a low endotoxin level of less than 50 EU/mL.
GelMA is a polymerizable hydrogel material generated from natural extracellular matrix (ECM) components. Gelatin has become popular for tissue engineering applications due to its inexpensive cost, availability, and preservation of natural cell binding motifs.
With the addition of photocrosslinkable methacrylamide functional groups to GelMA, it is possible to create biocompatible, biodegradable, and non-immunogenic hydrogels that are stable under biologically relevant circumstances and stimulate cell adhesion, spreading, and proliferation.
