TissueFab® GelMA-Conductive-UV bioink is an electrically conductive bioink specifically designed for 3D bioprinting applications. Its primary purpose is to create optimal cellular environments for neural, muscle, and cardiac cells, allowing them to efficiently transmit electrical signals. This enhancement in cell communication and the ability to form networks is achieved through its composition.
The bioink is based on a gelatin methacryloyl (GelMA) hydrogel system, and it incorporates Carbon nanotubes (CNTs) to introduce electrical conductivity while simultaneously improving the mechanical properties of GelMA hydrogels.
