No matter what age you are, surgery can be a scary thing. Knowing you are in good hands, though, can help soothe fears. K. Hovnanian Children's Hospital at Jersey Shore University Medical Center offers a comprehensive child-friendly, family-oriented program that includes surgical specialties, dentistry, general surgery, neurosurgery, ophthalmology, ENT, orthopedic surgery and urology.

K. Hovnanian Children's Hospital is a participant of the American College of Surgeons with the National Surgical Quality Improvement Pediatric Program (ACS NSQIP Peds), which allows participating hospitals to collect highly reliable clinical data and compare their surgical outcomes with the outcomes of other participants in the program. Participation in the ACS NSQIP Peds allows the Children's Hospital to demonstrate a commitment to quality improvement by participating in the first national database to measure surgical outcomes in all specialties of children's surgery, collect actionable clinical outcomes data specific to children's surgery, and act on clinical data to improve care in children's surgery.

According to Saad A. Saad, M.D., surgeon-in-chief and co-medical director at K. Hovnanian Children's Hospital, "By joining the ACS NSQIP Peds as the only children's hospital in New Jersey and one of 47 hospitals in the nation, K. Hovnanian Children's Hospital has an opportunity to work closely with an elite group of children's hospitals dedicated to advancing pediatric surgery. We are proud to participate in this program."
