U Should Know http://www.ushouldknow.com is a confidential, on-line STD Status-Sharing Service that allows college students and others to share results of their sexually transmitted disease (STD) testing with their partners. Based on assessments by College Healthcare Centers and other accredited providers, the U Should Know STD Status-Sharing Service makes the sharing of this sensitive information easy and reliable.
This is how it works: http://www.ushouldknow.com/how-it-works.aspx
- Individuals apply for Know Accounts on-line and receive STD Test Forms to take to their testing centers. Fee: $10.
- College Healthcare Centers and other accredited agencies perform assessments and submit STD testing results to U Should Know.
- Members receive a Know Account number, password and three "share passwords" enabling them to give partners access to their STD testing results.
- Members must be retested and renew membership every six months (as recommended by the Center for Disease Control).
"I couldn't believe how easy to use it was," reports new U Should Know member Abraham Lishansky. "I downloaded the testing form, got tested, and before I knew it, my results were posted to my secure account. My girlfriend viewed the information on her mobile phone that same day."
Officially launching the U Should Know STD Status-Sharing Service at the June 1st conference of the American College Health Association in Phoenix, founder 23-year-old Ayal Feinberg seeks to enlist support of 1,400 college healthcare providers. Martha O'Brien, Health Center Director, Trinity College, Connecticut, serves as U Should Know Status-Sharing Service Medical Advisor.
"I look forward to working with the medical community to establish reliable, easy-to-share STD test reporting," comments a very passionate Feinberg. "If U Should Know saves even one person from a serious STD like HIV or Herpes, our mission will have been accomplished."
