TaqPath qPCR and RT-qPCR master mixes

Applied Biosystems TaqPath master mixes are created to achieve confidence and performance for even the most demanding applications, with exceptional quality, amazing performance and regulatory compliance.

Thermo Fisher Scientific is dedicated to offering clinical laboratories trust-worthy, versatile and ground-breaking tools for molecular diagnostic development and testing, with over 15 years of technology leadership in real-time PCR.

TaqPath qPCR products

TaqPath qPCR master mixes have been proven to deliver exceptional lot-to-lot reproducibility in terms of absolute Ct consistency and dynamic range in a variety of assays and applications. Control measures, document control, change control and purchasing controls are all included in these general-purpose reagents, which are manufactured in an ISO 13485 facility.

Each batch is also quality-controlled before being released. Excellent performance, enhanced reproducibility and traceability are all possible with TaqPath qPCR master mixes.

Reliability

Applied Biosystems TaqPath qPCR master mixes are compatible with both standard and fast cycling modes and have been designed for increased stability, enabling preassembled reactions to be left at room temperature for more than 24 hours without compromising performance.

Furthermore, with both endogenous and exogenous controls, this product has been intensively validated for duplex performance, and each manufacturing lot has been evaluated for duplex performance.

High performance

TaqPath qPCR and RT-qPCR Master Mix have been extensively benchmarked against other leading suppliers’ standard and fast master mixes, demonstrating their capability to offer superior sensitivity, dynamic range, precision and specificity.

TaqPath 1-Step Multiplex Master Mix

Multiplexing reactions are compatible with TaqPath 1-Step Multiplex Master Mix, allowing for the simultaneous running of additional exogenous or endogenous controls or targets for quality control or improved efficiency.

Both the Mustang PurpleTM passive reference dye-containing mix and the NO ROX mix can be used with TaqMan probes that contain VIC, FAM, ABY and JUN dyes and QSY quenchers to detect four targets in one reaction.

TaqPath Bactopure Microbial Detection Master Mix

The Applied Biosystems TaqPath BactoPure Microbial Detection Master Mix is designed to detect low levels of microbial DNA in both purified and crude lysates, even in the presence of inhibitors.

  • A wide dynamic range* (up to eight logs) enables precise detection of both low and high concentration samples.
  • Consistent low-level detection of fungal, bacterial, viral and mammalian DNA, as well as antibiotic resistance markers.
  • Designed for multiplexing — available in two formulations (one with ROX passive reference and one without) that allow for one to four targets to be detected per reaction.

TaqPath ProAmp Master Mix and TaqPath ProAmp Multiplex Master Mix

TaqPath ProAmp master mixes from Applied Biosystems are designed to be high-throughput genotyping and copy number variation (CNV) master mixes that operate with inhibited samples. They can detect up to four targets in a single reaction, resulting in high specificity and repeatable genotyping and copy number variation analysis.

They have a large dynamic range that makes them suitable for multiplexing applications, and they are resistant to inhibitors found in clinical samples derived from human or animal sources (blood, buccal swabs and card punches). For automated workflows, all TaqPath ProAmp master mixes have 72-hour pre-PCR benchtop stability.

TaqPath 1-Step RT-qPCR Master Mixes for RNA and virus detection

TaqPath 1-Step RT-qPCR Master Mixes are 4× formulations developed for 1-step pathogen detection or gene expression workflows using RNA and DNA targets. There are versions available with ROX passive reference dye, and also multiplexing-specific versions formulated with either Mustang Purple passive reference dye or without ROX dye.

TaqPath qPCR Master Mix, CG for DNA detection

TaqPath qPCR Master Mix, CG from Applied Biosystems is a 2× formulation for gene expression and miRNA analysis that includes a thermostable fast DNA polymerase and dNTPs in an optimized buffer solution for maximum reliability and reproducibility.

Ease of use

The user has to add the sample, probes and target-specific primers to these formulations, which include dNTPs, thermostable MMLV reverse transcriptase and fast DNA polymerase all in one tube.

Sensitivity

TaqPath 1-Step RT-qPCR Master Mixes are an ideal solution for the most challenging applications, as they are optimized to withstand inhibitors normally seen in clinical samples and to facilitate superior specificity, sensitivity and dynamic range with multiplexing compatibility.
