ImmunoGen initiates IMGN901 Phase I/II clinical trial in SCLC patients

ImmunoGen, Inc., a biotechnology company that develops antibody-based anticancer products using its Targeted Antibody Payload (TAP) technology, today announced the initiation of a randomized Phase I/II clinical trial to evaluate its proprietary product candidate, IMGN901 (lorvotuzumab mertansine), for first-line treatment of small-cell lung cancer (SCLC) in patients with extensive disease.

ImmunGene awarded $244,479 therapeutic discovery project grant under PPACA 2010

ImmunGene, Inc., a privately held drug development company focused on targeted antibody therapeutics with numerous anti-cancer functions built into a single therapy, announced today that it has received a $244,479 grant under The Patient Protection and Affordable Care Act of 2010 (PPACA). Inviragen, PharmaJet awarded NIAID contract to develop needle-free, easy to administer dengue vaccine

Inviragen and PharmaJet announced the award of a five year, $15.5 million dollar contract from the National Institute of Allergy and Infectious Diseases, part of the National Institutes of Health, to advance the development of a needle-free, easy to administer dengue vaccine. The award will fund preclinical studies, regulatory filings, manufacturing and clinical testing of Inviragen's tetravalent dengue vaccine, DENVax delivered with PharmaJet's convenient needle-free injection device.

GenSpera issued additional patent for G-202

GenSpera, Inc. announced that its patent application, entitled "Tissue Specific Prodrugs," has been issued by the United States Patent and Trademark Office as US Patent 7,767,648. SMI/Omega development team receives fund to develop prototype fast multispectral endoscope

NovaBay reports positive results from NVC-422 Phase 2a proof-of-concept clinical trial for impetigo

NovaBay Pharmaceuticals, Inc. today announced that its lead product candidate was safe and efficacious against the highly contagious skin infection impetigo in a Phase 2a proof-of-concept clinical trial. This dose-ranging study showed that the drug cleared impetigo infections, including those in the trial caused by a drug-resistant strain of bacteria called methicillin-resistant Staphylococcus aureus or MRSA. Impetigo afflicts approximately 1 million people, primarily infants and children, in the United States annually.
