Pancreatic cancer is the fourth leading cause of all cancer deaths in the United States and the third leading cause of cancer deaths in individuals ages 40 to 60. Approximately 37,000 Americans are diagnosed with pancreatic cancer each year, and, each year, approximately the same number die from it. Often, pancreatic cancer is found too late for surgical intervention, and chemotherapy and radiation treatments have little effect.

Immunomedics product candidates, technologies receive recognition from QTDP program

Immunomedics, Inc. a biopharmaceutical company primarily focused on the development of monoclonal, antibody-based products for the targeted treatment of cancer, autoimmune and other serious diseases, today announced that all 12 applications from the Company were certified by the Internal Revenue Service of the Department of Treasury as qualified investments in accordance with the Qualifying Therapeutic Discovery Project (QTDP) program under section 48D of the Internal Revenue Code.
