King Center to host second annual 'Health and Wellness Forum'

MUHC unveils new Lung Cancer Navigation Program

A diagnosis of lung cancer can come as a hard blow. The disease has one of the highest mortality rates of all cancers and the sheer complexity of therapy - often involving radiation, chemotherapy and surgery - can leave patients feeling confused and isolated. CRF awards $1.75 million in 11 new grants to researchers to find a cure for cystinosis

The Cystinosis Research Foundation of Irvine, Calif., announced it awarded $1.75 million in 11 new grants to researchers in the United States, Canada, Belgium and Italy who are working to find a cure for cystinosis, a rare, deadly metabolic and genetic disease that afflicts about 500 children and young adults in the U.S. and 2,000 worldwide.
