MicroDose Therapeutx acquires potential compounds for treatment of respiratory syncytial virus

MicroDose Therapeutx Inc. (formerly MicroDose Technologies) today announced that it has acquired a portfolio of compounds for the potential treatment of respiratory syncytial virus (RSV) from ViroPharma Incorporated (Exton, PA). The lead investigational compound in the portfolio is an inhalable small molecule fusion inhibitor, now called MDT-637.

Peregrine Pharmaceuticals, Inc. today announced that the U.S. Patent and Trademark Office has issued U.S. Patent Number 7,611,704, which includes broad claims covering anti-viral uses of phosphatidylserine (PS)-targeting antibodies including Peregrine's lead clinical compound, bavituximab.
