WHO report calls for countries to improve access to health services

Tens of millions of people are pushed into poverty each year as a result of rising costs for health care, the World Health Organization said Monday as the agency released a report on financing health systems and universal coverage, Deutsche Presse-Agentur/M&C reports.

Today The Salvation Army will officially launch it's Annual Christmas Kettle Campaign with the 'World's Largest Kettle' - 8' in diameter, 5'10" in height, weighs 2,800 lbs and can hold $800,000 worth in quarters. The Christmas campaign is aimed at raising money to support social service programs that work to restore hope and dignity for vulnerable individuals during the Christmas season and throughout the year.
