Agfa HealthCare awarded new three-year DR contract with Premier, Inc.

Agfa HealthCare announced today that it has been awarded a new three-year group purchasing contract with Premier, Inc., a leading healthcare improvement company, to provide its entire product line of digital radiography (DR) solutions to the alliance's approximately 3,600 member hospitals and 120,000 other alternate healthcare sites in the United States.

Several radiology systems, often sent by international aid, may never be used due to the climatic conditions and the instability of electricity networks. In a matter of weeks, they become useless. Besides, the lack of qualified personnel or spare parts rapidly dispels any hope to make them work.
