The vacuum system, electronics, and computer are all housed inside the 4500 MiD® . It can be installed in places where no other mass spectrometer can be simply deployed, all while maintaining the performance of a normal mass spectrometer system.
With the inclusion of the Microsaic MiDas™ compact interface sampling module, the 4500 MiD® can now be used in a wide range of on-line, at-line, and off-line applications.
Small footprint allows deployment anywhere inside the laboratory or processing facilities
Low maintenance costs with a completely tool-free front-end
A wholly integrated and sophisticated system, with no external vacuum pumps, and no external PC
User-friendly, easy “plug and play” consumables
Chip-based technology
The 4500 MiD® is a reliable, robust, and user-friendly device that features Microsaic’s three main patented chip-based technologies, the ionchip® , spraychip® , and vac-chip™ , as well as increased mass range, a entirely tool-free front-end for improved control, an inventive and robust user interface, and improved electronics. A change in front-end alignment has also improved system uptime while lowering contaminant deposition downstream.

Mass range
Improving the mass range to 1400 m/z enables new applications such as peptide analysis using Nano LC-MS, which is appropriate for the 4500 MiD® ’s exceptionally effective ESI source and a strong propensity for multiple charging.
The Microsaic 4500 MiD® is simple to operate and maintain, and it also consumes less solvent, nitrogen, and power, lowering operating expenses and providing a greener alternative for mass detection.
