If a mohel has a herpes infection of course he can pass it on to the baby, you don't need a study for that, it is common sense. Common sense also states that no adult should be putting a baby's penis in his mouth. How on earth anyone can justify this is beyond natural thinking. Any person, mohel or not, should be prosecuted for this. All babies should be protected from this perversion. Mohelim should be smart enough to understand that and their intention must be questioned.
