Clearing methods allow light to penetrate samples for imaging, although the method used can affect tissue permeability to molecular probes. Conventional labeling protocols involve the slow diffusion of probes into thin sample sections, which translates to a time-consuming impracticality when applied to thicker samples.
The slow progression of diffusion can also lead to uneven staining, with higher, nonspecific binding on the outside of a thicker sample. The new DeepLabel™ Antibody Staining Kit from Logos Biosystems overcomes these obstacles. Optimized for thick, cleared tissues, DeepLabel™ increases tissue permeability and enhances antigen-antibody binding so that antibody labeling of cleared tissues can happen rapidly and efficiently.

DeepLabel™ Antibody Staining Kit is a set of non-toxic, ready-to-use reagents optimized for use with clarified tissues for effective antibody penetration and site-specific binding. With DeepLabel™, macromolecular probes rapidly and efficiently penetrate thick, protein-dense tissues at lower antibody concentrations. DeepLabel™ facilitates homogenous antibody staining with 2.6 X greater signal-to-background than conventional staining methods. DeepLabel™ is compatible with virtually all antibodies and all cleared tissues (compatible with CLARITY, PACT, iDISCO, CUBIC, etc).

X-CLARITY™ Mounting Solution is a high quality, cost-efficient refractive index matching solution (RIMS) modified from the recipe developed by Yang et al. The refractive index (RI) of the solution is 1.460 at 25 °C and is stable over a wide temperature range. The X-CLARITY™ Mounting Solution minimizes photobleaching and preserves fluorescence signals, making it an ideal solution for clarified and labeled tissue samples.
