The temperature transduction method used by the OTG-M Series sensors is a well-established technique that relies on the temperature-dependent bandgap of Gallium Arsinide (GaAs) crystal. Due to the presence of a microscale GaAs crystal at the tip of the optical fiber, it is suitable for tip measurement systems.
The response time and sensor diameter (OD) differ between each model in the OTG-M series.
The OpSens SCBG (Semiconductor Bandgap) signal conditioning technology and the inherent benefits of fiber optic have been incorporated into the OTG-M Series. It provides unrivaled reliability and repeatability in the majority of adverse conditions, such as elevated levels of RE, EM, MR, and microwave field environments.
The OTG-M Series sensors are made of first-rate optical fiber and work with all OpSens SCBG signal conditioners. This small and robust fiber optic temperature sensor is available with a variety of optical cables and sheath alternatives and is designed for customer-specific or OEM-type applications.
