Extend the Raman capabilities with the i-Raman Duo

The i-Raman Duo system uses two lasers to cover a wide spectral range with a single spectrometer and sampling probe. A 1064 nm laser is used to measure the fingerprint region and acquire accurate chemical information while reducing fluorescence interference. An 860 nm laser increases the stretch region (2500-4600 cm–1) to determine moisture content and distinguish distinct Raman signals.

The stretch region provides further information beyond the fingerprint region, allowing for improved discrimination and technique development. The features visible in the stretch region are valuable for biomedical diagnostics, petrochemicals, biofuels, and agriculture.

Systems

i-Raman NxG 532

The i-Raman NxG series is a new standard for laboratory Raman. The i-Raman NxG 532 is best-suited to measuring carbon nanomaterials, semiconductors, battery materials, and other electrochemical characteristics, with findings ranging from 150 to 3400 cm-1 Raman shift.

i-Raman NxG 785

The i-Raman NxG 785S is optimized for analysts who require comprehensive spectral data from difficult to measure materials. Designed for precision, it offers excellent spectral resolution through a large Raman spectral range of 100 to 3350 cm-1.

The 785S offers the clarity and adaptability required to improve the QC measures with greater accuracy, whether dealing with sophisticated materials, polymers, or drugs. Its improved resolution makes it simple for users to identify small spectral features confidently and enhances library matching for more precise identification.

i-Raman NxG 1064

The i-Raman NxG 1064 is a high-performance Raman spectrometer specifically designed for the most demanding and intricate sample types. It is equipped with a 1064 nm laser and offers a broad spectral range of 100 to 2500 cm-1, which significantly minimizes fluorescence interference. These features make it particularly suitable for analyzing highly fluorescent, vividly colored, or natural products that pose challenges for traditional Raman systems.

This boosted capacity enables fast, precise measurements, even with the complicated samples typically encountered in the pharmaceutical, nutraceutical, and petroleum industries. Its adaptable configuration, which includes the ability to do see-through measurements through opaque containers, produces outstanding results in stringent quality control processes that need fluorescence suppression.

i-Raman Duo

The i-Raman Duo is a Raman system with two lasers that can capture a large spectrum range using a single spectrometer and sampling probe. The fingerprint region (100-2500 cm-1) is measured using a 1064 nm laser, resulting in exact chemical information and less fluorescence interference. An 860 nm laser covers the stretch area (2500-4600 cm-1), detecting distinct Raman signals related to moisture levels and chemical structure.

Data from both lasers are captured sequentially and seamlessly merged in the SpecSuite software to facilitate analysis. This broader spectrum access increases discrimination and promotes more accurate method development, making the i-Raman Duo suited for applications in biomedical diagnostics, petrochemicals, biofuels, and agricultural studies.

Discover why the i-Raman Duo is the ideal instrument for achieving full spectral clarity.

  • The extended Raman detection range spans from 100 cm-1 to 4600 cm-1
  • This range reveals high wavenumber stretch bands for C≡C, S-H, C-H, N-H, and O-H above 2000 cm-1
  • The fully integrated system ensures that a single instrument provides seamless coverage of both fingerprint and stretching regions.
  • A flexible fiber optic probe is compatible with a diverse range of accessories, including a vial holder, cuvette holder, immersion probe, and a see-through adapter
  • The powerful SpecSuite software enables easy Raman data collection, along with quantitative model building, identification using spectral libraries, and routine analysis.

Option and upgrades

Sampling

i-Raman NxG is compatible with a wide range of sampling attachments, allowing users to conveniently analyze various sample types such as vials, cuvettes, plastic bags, and opaque containers.

Its small form and excellent sensitivity make the i-Raman series ideal for developing trace-level detection approaches using surface-enhanced Raman spectroscopy (SERS). When combined with Metrohm's SERS materials, customers may obtain signal improvements of up to 106 times, allowing them to accurately detect analytes at extremely low concentrations.
