icon16™ NGS library amplification system

Small footprint. Low budget. Large impact. With icon16, laboratories using smaller sequencing batches may use the entire AutoNorm standard without sacrificing data quality or having to wait to fill a plate. Perfect for smaller sequencing facilities, translational research teams, clinical research initiatives, and PI laboratories.

First, N6 Tec created a better box in a 16- or 96-well configuration, bringing the newest technologies from the telecom and semiconductor industries to the field of genomics.

Adaptive amplification

AutoNorm technology seamlessly normalizes a 2,048-fold input range across these 36 samples, delivering perfectly uniform library yields without a single over-amplified well

Then, they designed it to be smart; AutoNorm technology tracks and prevents cycling in line with user-specified parameters.

The above graphs show data generated by the HudsonAlpha Institute. icon96 was used to amplify plant-derived RNA samples that ranged in size from 0.5 to 1.5 micrograms. AutoNorm was used to dynamically choose each sample's stop cycle depending on the amplification curve's slope. As a result, read alignment improved, normalization was simplified, and adapter dimer in the libraries was reduced to less than 0.02%.
