Initial clinical results for Mpathy Medical's Omnisure sling released

NHSSC awards contract to AMS to supply SUI treatment devices in UK

American Medical Systems (AMS), a leading provider of world-class devices and therapies for both male and female pelvic health, announced today that it has been included as part of a multiple-awardees contract by National Healthcare Services (NHS) Supply Chain (NHSSC) to supply three of its clinically-proven female stress urinary incontinence (SUI) treatment devices through the Normanton distribution centre, United Kingdom.

24 percent of U.S. women affected by pelvic floor disorders

Nearly 24 percent of U.S. women are affected with one or more pelvic floor disorders, report researchers funded by the National Institutes of Health. Their analysis is the first to document in a nationally representative sample the extent of pelvic floor disorders, a cluster of health problems that causes physical discomfort and limits activity.
