As soon as culture containers, such as culture flasks or Petri dishes, are removed from the protective safety cabinet to be transported to the incubator, they are exposed to pathogens. The FastGene® Culture Chamber offers a protective, sterile atmosphere for the culture container during transport to the incubator.

While incubators are essential to provide an ambient environment for cells, they are also considered an additional source of infection. Even if one culture container is infected, it can affect all the containers in that incubator, resulting in significant financial and scientific loss for the scientist.

The FastGene® Cell Culture Chamber provides an additional layer of protection inside the incubator, ensuring that cross-contamination does not occur, thereby protecting the user's cells as well as their colleagues.

The chamber has a replaceable filter with a pore size of <0.4 µm. This creates a moisture- and air-permeable protective layer to maintain incubator conditions while preventing the transmission of pathogens such as fungi and bacteria. The system is also autoclavable (max. 121 °C), ensuring its sterility.
