Environmental Spacialties' reach-in chambers are ideal for stress testing the effect of ultraviolet (UV) and cool white (CW) light on consumer goods, packaging, and pharmaceutical products.

Each chamber has a cutting-edge, tailored lighting system, with fluorescent bulbs strategically arranged for even light distribution. Each light bank’s intensity may be easily and independently regulated using a microprocessor-based controller and a photo diode sensor to create a fully automated, closed-loop system.

The larger, upright floor model can even support many studies simultaneously, thanks to adjustable lighting settings on its three distinct product shelves.

These reach-ins are appropriate for testing a variety of items in many industries, including:

  • Personal hygiene
  • Food and beverage
  • Pharmaceutical
  • Nutraceuticals
  • Cosmetics

Versatile photostability chamber design

Environmental Specialties’ reach-in photostability chambers come in two typical configurations. They provide a variety of adaptations and illumination options to help companies fulfill their specific testing needs, including the International Council for Harmonisation (ICH) standards.

  • A distributed load of up to 130 pounds can be supported by shelving

Lighting features

  • Available dual-source light banks that combine UV and CW lamps reduce handling time and increase efficiency by eliminating the need to switch product lines
    • Standard in benchtop model
    • Upright model supports individual or combined configurations
  • Automatic adjustment of lamp output to maintain intensity at varied conditions
  • Self-dimming ballast
  • Independent light level and timing controls at each individual light bank with timers for precise testing durations
  • Upright model shelving features individual front reflector panels that allow doors to open without disturbing tests on other shelves
  • Uniform light distribution
