SpinalMotion announces completion of enrollment in Kineflex lumbar artificial disc study

SpinalMotion, Inc., developer of the investigational Kineflex® lumbar and Kineflex®|C cervical disc implants for treating patients with degenerative disc disease (DDD), today reported that it has completed enrollment in an international clinical study evaluating the Kineflex lumbar artificial disc inserted via a minimally invasive lateral approach. The data from the study will be used to support regulatory submissions for international commercialization.

FDA grants Matrix tentative approval under PEPFAR for Atazanavir Sulfate Capsules ANDA

Mylan Inc. today announced that its subsidiary Matrix Laboratories Limited has received tentative approval from the U.S. Food and Drug Administration (FDA) under the President's Emergency Plan for AIDS Relief (PEPFAR) for its Abbreviated New Drug Application (ANDA) for Atazanavir Sulfate Capsules, 150 mg and 300 mg. This product will be eligible for purchase outside the U.S. in certain developing countries.

Data shows Take Care Clinics’ quality of care exceeds national benchmarks

Take Care Health Systems, a wholly-owned subsidiary of Walgreens and the nation's largest and most comprehensive manager of convenient care clinics and worksite health and wellness centers, today announced that an analysis of de-identified data collected through the company's electronic medical record (EMR) system by the Jefferson School of Population Health showed that the quality of care delivered in Take Care Clinics for treatment of pharyngitis (inflammation of the throat) and upper respiratory infections (URI) meets or exceeds the quality of the care delivered in other settings.

This study demonstrates that supplemental brief dynamic therapy in the treatment of patients with obsessive compulsive-disorder with concurrent major depressive disorder (who are receiving effective medication) has no significant clinical effect on both obsessive and depressive symptoms.
