Labcyte receives patent for acoustic droplet ejection technology

Labcyte, whose Echo liquid handling platforms move liquids with sound, today announced the grant of its 40th US patent. Patent number 7,717,544 describes how in real time acoustic energy is optimized to transfer a droplet of any fluid, even those that are unknown. USPTO grants Taligen patent for TT30 lead product candidate

Taligen Therapeutics, a biotechnology company developing therapies that regulate the complement system to treat inflammatory and immune diseases, announced today that the U.S. Patent and Trademark Office has issued U.S. Patent No. 7,759,304, entitled "Targeting Complement Factor H For Treatment of Diseases", covering the composition of matter for its lead product candidate, TT30, a novel fusion protein that selectively binds to complement activated cells to locally regulate the complement system.

NJIT researchers awarded 15 new U.S. patents for research programs

NJIT researchers were awarded 15 new U.S. patents this past year, increasing the total number of issued patents for NJIT to 97. More than 150 applications are in process. With projected research expenditures greater than $90 million for 2010-11, NJIT ranks as a leader in size and growth of research programs among technological universities. Medivir appoints Daewoong as South Korean distributor for Xerclear

Medivir AB today announced it has appointed Daewoong Pharmaceutical Co. Ltd. as its exclusive distributor for Xerclear™ in South Korea.
