    Eventually my cochlear implants will need to be replaced so the prospect of "personalized cochlear implants" enticed me to read this article.    However, there is nothing in the article that suggests the actual implants will be personalized ... merely the external sound processors.   Further, it lacks detail about how the article's "personalization" will differ from what is already being done for people whose implants and processors are made by Cochlear, Med-El, Advanced Bionics, Oticon or Nurotron.
