    I know this is an old article but I would like to enlighten any nation to whom this applies. We don't keep eggs in the fridge(well some do), we don't have to, because we don't wash them after they are collected. It is that the washing process that can actually damage the shell, now you have to put them in the fridge cause the bacteria can get into the egg. Kinda ironic.
    BTW, I've never gotten anything from raw egg other than a tasty shake.
