    I have aphantasia, and I believe I do dream less than most people. But I'm very skeptical about the memory and imagination claims. I have no difficulty remembering the past, even my childhood (I'm over 60), and I can certainly project my imagination into the future and make up stories. The difference is that, for me, neither memory nor imagination are visual. I have a very good memory for words and voices, and I remember events very clearly.

    I wonder if the memory and imagination conclusions were based on asking the aphantasic subjects the wrong kind of questions?
