Pay no attention to this slanted article mostly based on a far left wing senior hate group called Medicare Advocacy, which has opposed public Part C of Medicare in Congress for 20 years (see this typical deceitful attack as an example -- www.medicareadvocacy.org/.../). A good and fair and balanced summary pro and con is on pages 4 and 5 of "Medicare and You, 2018" and there is much more detail in the book itself.

It is especially deceitful that this article would question "the costs that older adults face" in public Part C Medicare health plans (of which Medicare Advantage is just one type) when in almost all cases a person that can use a public Part C plan (most can't because relatively few doctors accept them) saves thousands of dollars a year and gets much better benefits than a person that uses a private supplement with Original Medicare. There are at least a half dozen other lies in this article.

It is ironic that Kaiser puts out this nonsense given that Kaiser is the third largest sponsor of public Part C plans in the country. The reason that Kaiser is one of the largest sponsors because it is an HMO; no one signs up for Part C plans if they are not in favor of the HMO concept
