Is there any other prion disease in animals that ISN'T transmissible to humans?  I thought they all could jump the species barrier to virtually any similar animal.  (i.e. - Sheep to cows to cats to humans etc).

If CWD is truly a prion disease/BSE, it should be transmissible to humans like all the others.  The way deer & elk are hunted and handled makes me very nervous about the spread of this one.  It could potentially be worse than Mad Cow in the UK.  Makes me glad I don't eat venison.
