    As an interested layman, I have to wonder if a vaccine that is based on a weakened version of the adenovirus (ad26), with added genes that code for the the corona virus to no longer infect human cells, might give us some immunity to the common cold (which as I understand is typically also due to ad26). Any research or clinical data on this?  Were an ancillary impact on the common cold be shown, most of the doubters (like me) might become vaccine converts.
