Discover how RISE microscopy advances pharmaceutical research

The RISE webinar series continues with its fourth demonstration, focusing on the capabilities of RISE Microscopy within pharmaceutical research.

The development and production of drug delivery systems demand effective and dependable quality control methods to maintain the integrity of the final products.

Because these products differ significantly in both composition and application, analytical instruments, such as the RISE microscope, serve as an essential solution for examining a wide range of pharmaceutical materials, including powders and tablets.

When combined with EDS, high-resolution SEM imaging is enhanced with detailed elemental information. Raman spectroscopy and imaging further add molecular insight, enabling clear differentiation between polymorphs and polytypes.

Learning objectives

  • SEM imaging of uncoated samples in low-vacuum mode
  • Correlation between EDS maps and Raman images
  • Data assessment and identification of API and excipients using TrueMatch
