Drug delivery is a term that refers to the delivery of a pharmaceutical compound into the body. Most common methods of delivery include the preferred non-invasive oral (through the mouth), nasal, pneumonial (inhalation), and rectal routes. Much research is now focussing on nanotechnology as a drug delivery method.

Nanoparticle carriers successfully deliver therapeutic doses of cancer drug

Current nanomedicine research has focused on the delivery of established and novel therapeutics. But a UNC team is taking a different approach. They developed nanoparticle carriers to successfully deliver therapeutic doses of a cancer drug that had previously failed clinical development due to pharmacologic challenges.

German BfArM grants Moberg Derma approval to initiate Limtop phase II actinic keratosis trial

The German Federal Institute for Drugs and Medical Devices (BfArM) has granted Moberg Derma approval to initiate a clinical phase II trial for Limtop. The aim is to evaluate the efficacy and safety of three different dose regimens of Limtop in a study involving 96 patients with Actinic Keratosis (AK) on the head or face.

Lower rate of reintubation observed in infants receiving SURFAXIN
