Tight blood sugar control fails to improve memory in diabetics

A new study has shown that those with type 2 diabetes do not show slowing of the decline in thinking skills with intense blood sugar control. In fact such intense therapy raises risk of death.

Blueberry powder may control triple negative breast cancer

Researchers discover new inherited disorder that causes mental retardation, liver dysfunction

Researchers at the Swedish medical university Karolinska Institutet have discovered a new inherited disorder that causes severe mental retardation and liver dysfunction. The disease, adenosine kinase deficiency, is caused by mutations in the ADK gene, which codes for the enzyme adenosine kinase.
