Metro transit bus to become St. Louis MetroMarket's first mobile farmers market

The St. Louis MetroMarket and Saint Louis University are celebrating the delivery of a retired Metro transit bus which will soon be converted into St. Louis MetroMarket's first mobile farmers market. The bus was delivered Tuesday, June 2, to its new home at Salus Center on the Saint Louis University Med Center campus.

Researchers found that errors in a gene known as TCF12 - which plays a key role in the formation of the embryonic brain are associated with more aggressive forms of a disease called anaplastic oligodendroglioma.

Nearly 15 million U.S. women have limited access to specialized gynecologic cancer care

More than one-third of counties in the Unites States are located more than 50 miles from the nearest gynecologic oncologist, making access to specialty care for ovarian and other gynecologic cancers difficult for nearly 15 million women. While most of these "low access" counties are located in the Mountain-West and Midwest regions, the findings of a recent study from researchers at the Perelman School of Medicine at the University of Pennsylvania also reveal that 47 states have at least one county located more than 50 miles from the nearest gynecologic oncologist.
