Clinicians and researchers to meet at UPMC to propose standard guidelines for treating concussions

Nearly 30 leading, independent concussion clinicians and researchers from around the United States will convene at UPMC Oct. 15 and 16 with a unique purpose: to propose standard guidelines on the best practices, protocols and active therapies for treating concussions today, resulting in a white paper to be published in a medical journal and shared nationwide.

Dynatronics granted U.S. patent for ThermoStim Probe

Dynatronics Corporation today announced its patent for "Systems and Methods for Providing a Thermo-electro-stimulation Probe Device" (US Patent No. 9,084,665) has been granted by the U.S. Patent and Trademark Office. Meniscal transplant surgery reduces pain, improves knee function in most patients younger than age 50

Most patients younger than age 50 with a torn or severely damaged meniscus experienced reduced pain and improved knee function following transplant surgery, according to a study in the August 5 issue of the Journal of Bone and Joint Surgery. However, many patients required additional surgery within 10 years.
