Horizon Health International, Exmovere Holdings enter into a marketing and distribution agreement

HORIZON HEALTH INTERNATIONAL CORP. is pleased to announce that it has executed a Definitive Agreement with Exmovere Holdings Inc. of McLean, Virginia USA (Exmovere). Under the terms of the Agreement Horizon will pay Exmovere a total of two million dollars over a one year period for the exclusive rights to market and distribute their products in Canada for a 15 year term.

Mutated IDH1 gene has novel enzyme activity consistent with cancer-causing gene: Study

Agios Pharmaceuticals today announced that its scientists have established, for the first time, that the mutated IDH1 gene has a novel enzyme activity consistent with a cancer-causing gene, or oncogene. This breakthrough discovery shows that the mutated form of IDH1 produces a metabolite, 2-hydroxyglutarate (2HG), which may contribute to the formation and malignant progression of gliomas, the most common type of brain cancers.

Positive interim results from Nereus Pharmaceuticals' plinabulin VDA study for advanced NSCLC

Phase IIb/III clinical trial results of CINQUIL for pediatric EoE announced

Ception Therapeutics, Inc., a privately held biopharmaceutical company, and Cephalon, Inc. today announced results from a Phase IIb/III clinical trial for CINQUIL(TM) (reslizumab) as a treatment for pediatric eosinophilic esophagitis (EoE). The study was designed to evaluate improvement in the co-primary endpoints of changes in esophageal eosinophil levels and clinical symptoms.

Phase 1 data of ARIAD Pharmaceuticals' pan-BCR-ABL inhibitor to be presented at the ASH meeting

100th patient enrolled in Atrium Medical's iCAST Atrium Registry Ultrasound Study

Atrium Medical Corporation announced that the 100th patient was enrolled in the iCAST™ Atrium Registry Ultrasound Study (iCARUS). New target may promote development of novel therapies for chronic sinusitis

A protein known to stimulate blood vessel growth has now been found to be responsible for the cell overgrowth in the development of polyps that characterize one of the most severe forms of sinusitis, a study by Johns Hopkins researchers suggests. The finding gives scientists a new target for developing novel therapies to treat this form of the disease, which typically resists all current treatments.
