Interleukin-2 (IL-2) receptors from ACROBiosystems

Interleukin-2 (IL-2) is a pluripotent cytokine that regulates the immune system’s response. The IL-2 receptor (IL-2R) is a heterotrimeric protein that binds to IL-2 and reacts to it on the surface of some immune cells, like lymphocytes.

IL-2R is made up of three subunits: IL-2Rα (CD25), IL-2Rβ (CD122) and common γc (CD132). The three receptor chains can assemble in multiple configurations and sequences to form low, moderate, and high-affinity IL-2 receptors, and they are expressed individually and variably on distinct cell types.

PEG modification, IL-2 mutant design, fusion Fc, bispecific antibody design, combination immunization checkpoint antibody medication treatment, and other tactics have all been used by biopharma and biotech companies to modify and develop IL-2.

In vitro investigations of the interaction between IL-2 and IL-2 receptors, as well as antibody immunization and screening, need a series of structurally stable and high-affinity IL-2 receptor heterodimers and heterotrimers.

ACROBiosystems has created a series of IL-2-related proteins with high purity, stability, and bioactivity, including IL-2, IL-2Rα (CD25), IL-2Rβ (CD122), IL-2Rγ (CD132), IL-2 R βγ heterodimer, IL-2Rαβγ heterotrimer, which can be utilized to study the interaction between IL-2 and IL-2 receptors, antibody screening, immunization, and other applications to help in creating IL-2-related therapies.

Native IL-2 has pleiotropic effects on the immune response.
