Introtek’s IntroPro non-invasive occlusion sensor, a free-entry detection device, effectively monitors occlusion in soft tubing.
When the tubing in an application becomes occluded, it leads to a change in pressure within the tube. These fluctuations in tubing pressure can be identified using a passive, non-invasive device output with the free-entry IntroPro Gross occlusion detector. This type of gross occlusion detector is essential for improving processes across various applications.
Technology
- A non-invasive and compact design, featuring a robust housing
- The analog output signal is indicative of tubing occlusion
Simple
- A straightforward unibody design that features no movable components
- Low cost
- Factory-calibrated and maintenance-free
Operating principle
This non-invasive occlusion detector employs load cell technology to identify significant downstream occlusions. A resulting increase in tube diameter generates a force onto an internal load cell, which then provides an output of up to 4.5 V, indicating the occlusion event.
