The Logic Class II, Type A2 Biosafety Cabinets (BSCs) provide full personnel, product, and environmental protection from hazardous particulates, including those requiring BSL 1–4 containment. They are well-suited for handling antineoplastic drugs, genetic material, and other hazardous airborne substances. All models are NSF-listed and meet the highest standards for safety and performance.
Designed with flexibility in mind, Logic BSCs can exhaust HEPA-filtered air back into the lab or into an external exhaust system via the optional Ventus II Canopy Connection. When connected to a canopy, they are suitable for limited use with volatile toxic chemicals and trace radionuclides.
Room air is pulled in through the inlet grille. Air in the plenum beneath the work surface—comprised of room air and air that has passed through the work zone—is then drawn by the ECM blower through the rear plenum. Approximately 70 % of this air is recirculated over the work area through the supply HEPA filter, maintaining an ISO Class 5 clean zone. The remaining contaminated air is exhausted through a high-efficiency HEPA filter into the environment.
